In my work i mold the dark and deranged side of humankind especially that what we do to others, in a specific form. People who has been forced in a position or situation where they didn't had a choice. This is what i see, read and hear and which i want to confront the viewer with.

Filled with respect and honor i give form to my aversion and anger. Playing also with the subject 'space' and looking for a composition where in the story going to be told.Most of my work has a political or social background, concepts like violation of human rights, (child)-abuse, maltreatment and imprisonment. The figures are represented realistically and naked in their being as well as their situation. Without any form of identity, to give space for recognition.

Life size and introspective where by the attention is concentrated on the tension and contortion of the posture. Fascinated i combine different kinds of materials, fired clay with wood, stone, glass or metal. But also to explore the depth off the 2 and 3-dimensional and combine them in a installation and question those borders. These combinations lead to interesting contrasts in texture and color, sometimes even strengthen each other in form that a new tension come to existence.
